We were founded in 1844 by German pioneer August Schrader, inventor of the now famous Schrader^® pneumatic tire valve; the very same patented valve which is used on every motor vehicle in the world today.

August Schrader’s pioneering spirit and appetite for invention has remained at the heart of our business for over 160 years. While our focus may have changed over the years our appetite for innovation, invention and the production of high quality products continues to drive us forward.

While many firms talk about their ability to innovate - we actually do it. Our history is littered with patents registered in the Schrader name and even today we have more pending.
